The Jets, especially their new veteran players, don’t care about this team’s past struggles.

After the Jets’ last two wins, players in the locker room have said some version of “we’re not the same.” The Jets are proving that. At 4-2, they already have matched their win total from all of last season.

“We have a lot of guys here that don’t care about what’s been said in the past about this organization,” left tackle Duane Brown said. “We’re here to write our own story, and so far it’s been a pretty good one. We’re just trying to take it one week at a time.”

Robert Saleh continues to urge his team to expect to win and make it a normal occurrence. Saleh and his coaches are getting credit from the players for changing the culture.

“Coach Saleh ain’t got no quit in him,” defensive end Vinny Curry said. “You all see, he’s all fight. When you see your head coach like that, you have no choice but to have all fight in yourself as well. Coach is doing a great job. He has no quit in him at all. He’s all fire.”

Dominant Quinnen

Quinnen Williams enjoyed a rare feat Sunday. He became only the second player since 2000 to register three tackles, two quarterback hits, a sack, a tackle for loss, a forced fumble and a blocked field goal in one half. Carlos Dunlap was the other player to accomplish that.

“I told him before he was having a Pro Bowl season, but I think after yesterday’s game, we all can agree he’s having an All-Pro season,” Curry said. “That dude ain’t scratched the surface on what he can become.”

Curry believes Williams could be “one of the most dominant players to play in the game on defense” and has the potential to win Defensive Player of the Year.

Remmers signed

The Jets signed veteran offensive tackle Mike Remmers to the active roster and released offensive lineman Conor McDermott.

Remmers, 33, was signed to the Jets' practice squad in September and elevated for the first time Sunday. He has started 90 games in his career.
