Giants co-owner feels 'badly' for Tim Tebow

Had Tim Tebow not been traded to the Jets, he’d be playing in the NFL right now, said Giants co-owner Steve Tisch.
“I feel badly for the guy,” Tisch told TMZ Sunday night in Los Angeles. “Had another team picked him up after the Broncos, maybe he’d have a career. I think him going from the Broncos to the Jets was not in anybody's best interest.”
Tebow – who quarterbacked the Broncos to a road playoff win in 2011 – was a nonfactor in 2012 for the Jets, who went 6-10. As Mark Sanchez’s backup, Tebow attempted just eight passes (six completions and one drop) and rushed for 102 yards on 32 carries in 12 games.
After failing to pull off a trade this offseason, the Jets released Tebow just a few days after April’s NFL draft.
Simply put: the Tebow Experiment was an epic fail.
“I do feel badly for him,” Tisch said of Tebow, who cleared waivers and is now a free agent. “I hope he plays football. I think he's got talent and I think he is probably a decent guy and not a bad quarterback. I sincerely wish him all the best.”
