Greg Zuerlein’s troubles have put the veteran kicker on very thin ice.

Interim coach Jeff Ulbrich said the Jets are bringing in some kickers Tuesday and taking them to MetLife Stadium for a competition. The Jets could have a new kicker for Thursday night’s game against the Texans.

“We’ll have a competition, bring some guys and the best guy will play on Thursday,” Ulbrich said.

It’s unclear if Zuerlein will be a part of this competition. The Jets may have already decided they need a change.

Zuerlein has missed six field goals this season, five coming during the Jets’ five-game losing streak. Zuerlein missed a field goal and extra point in the Jets’ three-point loss to New England on Sunday.

The Jets worked out Cade York, Riley Patterson and Matt Coghlin two weeks ago.

“We’re exploring all the options right now,” Ulbrich said. “We’re going to bring the kickers in for a workout, see where they stand and make a decision after that.”

Mosley’s neck injury

C.J. Mosley had an MRI on his neck Monday after it locked up on him before the Patriots game. Ulbrich said they are sending the images to a neck and spine specialist. Ulbrich didn’t rule out Mosley going on injured reserve.

Still calling plays

Ulbrich decided he will continue to call the defensive plays. Ulbrich has the dual title of coach/defensive coordinator since replacing Robert Saleh, who was fired three weeks ago.

“I’m trying to create as much continuity on this coaching staff as possible,” Ulbrich said, “and I think that’s the best thing to do as far as that’s concerned.”

More injury news

Haason Reddick (neck) was limited in Monday’s walk-through. Ulbrich said he has “very little concern” and it’s probably from playing his first game in nine months. … Aaron Rodgers (knee/hamstring) also was limited. Ulbrich expects Rodgers to play. … Allen Lazard (chest), Alijah Vera-Tucker (ankle) and Tony Adams (hamstring) did not participate and are iffy on a short week.
