QUOTABLE

"He’s one of the better quarterbacks in this league. He is a really, really, really, really good competitor. He’s a dog. He’s always fighting. If you have him mic’d up, I’ll bet he has more cuss words in a game than you guys can possibly imagine. He’s really, really, really talented." -- Robert Saleh on Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan

INTANGIBLES

The Jets’ coaches have plenty of familiarity with the Falcons and their personnel, which could be to their advantage. Saleh studied and broke down the Falcons’ roster when he interviewed for the head coaching job last year. Defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich spent the prior five seasons with Atlanta. Safeties coach Marquand Manuel worked for the Falcons for four years. They run a similar offense as the Jets under offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur, who spent two seasons in Atlanta and knows Ryan well.

NUMBER, PLEASE

0: Interceptions by the Jets and Falcons, the only two teams that haven’t picked off a pass this season. The Jets are minus-6 in turnover differential. Only Jacksonville is worse (minus-8).
