Jets activate edge rusher Haason Reddick to face Patriots
Haason Reddick has been cleared for takeoff.
The Jets activated the two-time Pro Bowl edge rusher on Saturday. Reddick will make his Jets debut against the Patriots on Sunday.
Reddick, acquired in March from the Eagles, ended his lengthy holdout on Monday. He signed an adjusted one-year contract that will pay him the remainder of his base salary (roughly $8.7 million). The deal is loaded with performance-based incentives that will enable Reddick to recoup some of the money he lost in fines.
Interim coach Jeff Ulbrich said there would be no specific snap count limit for Reddick, who hasn’t played in nine months. The Jets play two games in five days.
Reddick has been one of the NFL's top pass rushers over the past four seasons. registering 50.5 sacks.
The Jets released Takk McKinley to make room for Reddick.
