Aaron Rodgers’ favorite target could be on the move and the Jets certainly will have an interest in acquiring him.

Star receiver Davante Adams reportedly has requested a trade from the Las Vegas Raiders. Although the NFL Network reported that nothing is imminent, things could move quickly if the Raiders get their asking price.

ESPN reported that the Raiders have informed teams that they would consider trading Adams for a package that starts with a second-round pick. It’s a big ask for a soon-to-be 32-year-old receiver. But the Jets are all-in to win this season and it’s no secret that Rodgers and Adams – who made a lethal pair in Green Bay - would like to reunite.

Rodgers and Adams played together for eight years. Rodgers won three MVP Awards during that time. The two have remained close friends. When the Jets played in Las Vegas last year, Rodgers and Adams went to dinner together the night before the game.

During a golf outing over the summer, Rodgers said, “I love Davante. I can’t wait to play with him…again.” On Tuesday, Adams said he missed Rodgers during an appearance on “Up and Adams with Kay Adams” on Tuesday.

“How could you not?” Davante Adams said. “You know, how could you not?”

The Jets tried to trade for Adams before last year’s trade deadline, but the Raiders weren’t ready. They may be now.

Adams has been frustrated in Las Vegas. The Raiders are 2-2 this season, and 16-22 overall since Adams arrived in 2022.

He missed last week’s game with a hamstring injury suffered at practice late in the week. Sports Illustrated tweeted that Adams may have played his last game for Las Vegas. Raiders coach Antonio Pierce liked the tweet.

The Jets have a second-round pick next year and two third-rounders. They also have some players they may be willing to part with if it means getting Adams and making Rodgers happy. Haason Reddick, who is holding out and has requested a trade from the Jets, or receiver Allen Lazard could be prime candidates.

Adding Adams to a receiver group that features Garrett Wilson and Mike Williams would make their offense more diverse and difficult to defend.

Adams has $13.5 million remaining on his contract for this season. It decreases by close to $1 million per week. Any team acquiring him could try to get the Raiders to pick up part of that. Adams is signed for two more years, but neither is guaranteed.

Other teams who could be in the receiver market and explore a trade for Adams are Kansas City, Pittsburgh and Washington.
