Antonio Cromartie appears to be on some kind of mission.
The cornerback has been the best defensive player during these first three days of training camp, which is saying something. He left a serious mark on yesterday's morning practice, snaring a pair of interceptions and virtually stalking Mark Sanchez anytime he threw his way.
"The biggest thing for me is coach [Dennis] Thurman and the rest of our guys," Cromartie said. "We are just working on our technique to the point of understanding when and not to use speed and things like that. Today, I used it a little bit more and it helped me get two interceptions."
Sanchez's thoughts on Cromartie's play Wednesday?
"Sick," he said. "He's a monster."
Even Rex Ryan is taken aback by Cromartie's ball-hawking ability.
"His ball skills are God-given," Ryan said. "I don't know how to describe him. I've never seen anything like that."
