Jets watch screening of "That's My Boy"
About 25-30 Jets players attended a private screening of "That's My Boy" Tuesday night, along with Rex Ryan, several assistant coaches and members of the front office.
It was the first time Ryan, who makes a cameo in the Adam Sandler film, was able to see himself on the big screen.
In the movie, Sandler portrays Donny who, while still in his teens, fathered a son, Todd (played by SNL's Andy Samberg), and raised him as a single parent until Todd's 18th birthday. Now, after not seeing each other for years, Todd's world comes crashing down on the eve of his wedding when an uninvited Donny suddenly shows up.
For those of you who don't know, Ryan plays a lawyer named "Jim Nance," who is a diehard Patriots fan. The Jets coach originally was supposed to have a small part in the film, but appears in at least three different scenes.
After the screening, first-round pick Quinton Coples tweeted: "S/O to my coach Rex Ryan for doing a great acting job in the movie That's My Boy everybody go see that movie it's hilarious #jetlife"
Defensive tackle Damon Harrison also took to Twitter to praise his head coach's acting chops: "Rex Ryan did a great job in the Movie "Thats My Boy" we watched it as a team!! #JetNation"
