GREEN BAY, Wis. — Green Bay Packers linebacker Quay Walker left his team’s game against the Houston Texans on Sunday after a teammate’s leg inadvertently hit him in the head at the end of a play.

Walker left the game immediately after the play to get evaluated for a concussion. The Packers announced later that Walker wouldn’t be returning to the game.

The incident occurred at the end of a 1-yard completion from Houston’s C.J. Stroud to Stefon Diggs early in the second quarter. Walker was in on the tackle and was lying on his stomach when Packers defensive end Kingsley Enagbare converged on the play. As Enagbare ran over, his leg hit Walker’s helmet.

Play stopped as the Packers went to check on Walker, who eventually left under his own power to walk to the sideline and enter the injury tent.

Walker, a 2022 first-round pick from Georgia, entered Sunday with a team-high 51 tackles.
