The Jets are still unsure which receiver will play opposite Santonio Holmes, but this much is for sure: It won't be Braylon Edwards.
The Jets had not publicly shut the door on Edwards re-signing with the team, but it won't be happening. Edwards today signed a one-year deal with the Seahawks.
Edwards had knee problems last year during his only season with the 49ers. The year before, he and Holmes were one of the league's more reliable pass-catching duos. But he wanted too much money from the Jets in a free agent deal last year, and New York decided to invest heavily in Holmes and sign Plaxico Burress to a one-year deal. Burress was not asked back, and remains unsigned.
