Newsday's annual look at the top Suffolk high school boys badminton players for the spring season, listed in alphabetical order with singles players followed by doubles players. All stats listed are from last season unless otherwise noted.

James DiLeo, Patchogue-Medford, Sr.

DiLeo finished 8-5 in second singles and now moves to first singles this season.

Rajveer Gujral, Half Hollow Hills, Sr.

The Newsday Player of the Year finished 22-0 in first singles, earning his second consecutive Suffolk individual championship.

Jake Lee, Commack So.

He is currently 5-0 this season in first singles after going 12-2 last season.

Shaun Mischler, Ward Melville, Sr.

Mischler finished 8-3, playing a mix of singles and doubles last season. and moves to first singles this year.

Carter Phillips, Whitman, Sr.

Phillips is one of the leaders of the team and has worked to improve his singles game.

Cole Schmideler, Smithtown East, Sr.

Schmideler is a tactical player who gets his opponents off balance and has well-placed shots. This is his first season playing singles, and he is 4-2 so far at first singles.

Luke Thomson and Mason Adelberg, Smithtown East, Srs.

The duo finished 12-5 in second doubles last season and are currently 5-1 in first doubles. Both are team captains with great communication on the court.

Kevin Zheng and Dylan Nguyen, Patchogue-Medford, Srs.

The duo both made the switch from playing singles last season. Zheng finished 7-6 at first singles, and Nguyen finished 8-3 at third singles.
