**FINAL**: Elmont is the county champ for the first time in program history after its 32-29 (yes, 32-29) win over Baldwin. Senat hit two free throws to give Elmont a 30-29 lead with 43.4 seconds to play. Anthony Elechi hit 1 of 2 with 26.2 to play to make it 31-29 and then Dillon Williams got a strip and saved the ball from going out of bounds for the steal.
Baldwin had a chance to tie down three with 9.1 seconds to play, but couldn't get a shot off.
Chambers led Elmont with 10 points and Wood-Smith scored all 12 of his points in the first half to pace Baldwin. Those two were in the only players in double-figures.
The Spartans will play Suffolk champ Half Hollow Hills West in the Long Island Class AA title game next Sunday at 4 p.m. at Stony Brook.
