Whether it was in the cage or on the attack, Lynbrook boys lacrosse had no shortage of stars this week.

Goalie Luca Palleschi stood on his head in a 6-5 win over Oceanside on Monday, making 12 saves in the win including one in the final seconds to preserve Lynbrook’s lead. Chipping in is Eddie Stradowski, who boasts five goals and 16 assists in Lynbrook's four wins since April 5.

But when it comes to setting the standard, look no further than Westhampton girls lacrosse stars Reese King and Ava Derby. Both had four points in Westhampton’s 8-4 win over Islip, and both added six more points in a 15-8 win over Shoreham-Wading River.

Lynbrook boys lacrosse boasts an 5-1 record, and Westhampton girls lacrosse holds a 6-0 record to open the season. Here’s who else shined this week among Newsday’s Stick Stars.

BOYS

Quinn Ball, Chaminade: The Flyers marched past California’s St. Ignatius on Friday in part to Ball’s ability at the faceoff X. He won 16 of his 20 faceoff attempts after winning 18 of his 23 attempts on Saturday, April 5, in Chaminade’s 16-7 win over Delaware’s Salesianum School.

Ben Conger-Kielbasa, Glen Cove: He scored nine goals and assisted three more across Glen Cove’s two wins this week, beginning with a 7-6 victory over East Meadow Monday and ending with 10-6 win over Bellmore JFK on Thursday.

Aiden Cromwell, St. Dominic: Cromwell scored four goals and assisted four more in St. Dominic’s 12-11 win over Portledge. His final goal served as the winner with just 52 seconds remaining.

Finn Drake, Westhampton: Drake had 11 goals and seven assists for Westhampton this week as the Hurricanes ripped away wins against St. John the Baptist, Center Moriches and Mattituck/Greenport/Southold.

Tobias Fitzsimmons and Curtis Ealy, Freeport: It may be cheating to put two players in one spot, but the defensive duo have been terrific together in front of Malik Groover in goal. Fitzsimmons and Ealy lead a Red Devils defense that has yet to allow more than five goals across four games.

Luke Cascadden, Garden City: In the Trojans' 12-9 win over an impressive Wantagh side on Friday, Cascadden dominated at the faceoff X by winning 23 of his 26 attempts. He also won 16 of his 24 faceoffs against Section I's 2024 Class C champion Rye on Tuesday.

A.J. Jeffares, Connetquot: He assisted Logan Cordes’ winning goal in Connetquot’s 11-10 overtime win against Ward Melville on Thursday. He had a goal and four assists while winning 23 of 25 faceoffs.

GIRLS

Abigaile Clarkson, MacArthur: Clarkson has saved 22 shots across her last two games, both of which ended in wins for MacArthur. She led the Generals to an 8-6 win over Roslyn and a 17-3 win over Baldwin.

Grace Gordon, Huntington: In a battle between Suffolk’s best, Gordon’s fifth goal proved to be the winner with 58.9 seconds remaining in the first overtime in Huntington’s 9-8 win over Northport. She also had an assist for a game-high six points.

Grace Miller, Bethpage: It’s been a dominant week for Miller, who scored four goals — including the winner in the fourth quarter — in an 8-7 win on Monday over Plainedge. She followed it up with five goals and eight draw controls in Bethpage’s 14-3 win over Baldwin.

Mairead O’Sullivan, Kellenberg: Her five goals and two assists led Kellenberg to a 15-14 win over Seaford on April 5. O’Sullivan followed it up by tying a team-high three points in a 12-1 win over Holy Trinity on Monday.

Logan Pilon, Riverhead: Pilon scored a game-high six goals and added an assist to lead Riverhead to a 13-11 win over Bellport on Wednesday. Then she did it all over again with the same stat line in the Blue Waves’ 13-6 win Friday over East Hampton/Bridgehampton/Pierson/Ross.

Rylie Wiegand, Floyd: Wiegand assisted three of Floyd’s goals before scoring one of her own with 32 seconds left in the first overtime to defeat Connetquot, 9-8, on Tuesday.

Elim Yang, Manhasset: Yang scored two of her three goals in the fourth quarter to help Manhasset beat Massapequa, 7-6, on Tuesday. She added a seven-point performance in a 12-9 win over Sacred Heart on Wednesday, scoring the go-ahead goal with 4:47 remaining.
