Andrew Stingi had a goal and an assist and Patrick Moodhe had two assists to lead Friends Academy (13-1-2) to a 4-0 boys soccer victory over Haldane in a Class C regional final at Arlington High School in LaGrange.

Stingi scored the first goal of the game off an assist from Moodhe in the fifth minute. Harry Nicolas scored in the 13th minute from close range to put Friends Academy ahead 2-0. Max Heffron scored a goal late in the first half and Jon Nierenberg added a goal in the second half.

"When we were up by one, they had some decent opportunities but Brandon [Rosenbaum] made some great saves," coach Marshall Lindner said.

Rosenbaum had seven saves in the shutout.

"The defense played very well," Lindner said. "Our central defender, Samer Bendary, really controlled and directed traffic for us in making sure our marking was good."

Friends Academy will play Lake George at 7:15 p.m. Saturday at Middletown High School in a state semifinal.
