Plainedge's Davien Kuinlan broke the Long Island single-game rushing record by carrying 39 times for 484 yards and seven touchdowns to win the Nassau Conference III championship on Nov. 21, 2015.

North Babylon's Jason Gwaltney, who also holds the LI career rushing mark (7,800), finds himself on this list twice. The 467-yard game came against East Islip on 43 carries on Sept. 20, 2003.

Dylan Laube rushed for 430 yards, the third most in Long Island history, in Westhampton's win over Eastport-South Manor on Sept. 23, 2017. He had five touchdowns on 28 carries.

Rahsaan Vanterpool's 400-yard game on Nov. 9, 1991 was the first such game for a Long Island running back, according to Newsday's historical records.

On, Nov. 9, 2013, Tyler Anderson carried the ball 29 times for 426 yards for Shoreham-Wading River. He scored touchdowns on runs of 36, 32, 13 and 77 yards in a 56-19 win over Center Moriches in a Suffolk Division IV playoff game.

Port Jefferson's Sam Florio rushed for 417 yards on 33 carries in a 52-42 win over Greenport on Oct. 26, 2018. Florio also scored six touchdowns.

Floyd's Stacey Bedell set a Long Island Championship record with 412 rushing yards on Nov. 27, 2011. He carried 29 times and scored four touchdowns in the 54-47 Class I win over East Meadow.

Two weeks after running for 371 yards, Gwaltney rushed for more than 300 yards in a single game for the final time in his career. It also happened to be the second time he eclipsed 400 yards, as the North Babylon running back gained 406 yards on Oct. 30, 2004.
