6. Football — Baldwin beats Freeport (Oct. 29)
Playing on a field covered in mud and snow, Baldwin beat previously undefeated Freeport, 32-18, in Nassau I. Pat Dillon’s 12-yard touchdown run with 4:43 left in the third quarter put Baldwin ahead by the final margin of victory. Treyvon Mask had 205 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries and Dillon rushed for two touchdowns. Baldwin hadn’t beaten Freeport, which at the time was the defending Class I Long Island champ, since the 2007 season.
