Syosset's Evan Kappatos won his third straight Piner Award, given to Nassau's most outstanding linebacker. Kappatos also took home the Kessenich award, which goes to a three-sport athlete in Nassau with strong academic credentials and a history of community involvement. The 6-0, 230 pound senior middle linebacker was a bright spot even as Syosset finished the season 1-7 in Nassau I.
