Football combine top 5 scores

Six Long Island athletes earned top 5 finishes in two events each during last Sunday’s Blue Chip Prospects/Suffolk County Coaches Association football combine at Sachem North. More than 150 people participated in the event.
Jovaun Tomlinson of Baldwin was second in the vertical jump and first in the standing jump. John Haggarat of Sayville was second in the standing jump and fifth in the 5-10-5 agility drill. Michael Grimaldi of Centereach was second in the 5-10-5 and fifth in the 3-cone drill, which also tests agility. Dennis Lestrange of Smithtown East was third in the 185-pound bench press and fourth in the standing jump. Jordan Wesley of Longwood was fifth in the vertical jump and third in the standing jump. R.J. Foster of Riverhead was fourth in the 5-10-5 and third in the 3-cone drill.
