Long Island high school football's Gridiron Greats for Week 1

Alex Bauer, Cold Spring Harbor: He carried 17 times for 171 yards and four touchdowns in a 41-0 win over Carle Place.
Dylan Craig, Bayport-Blue Point: He rushed for 145 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries in a 35-0 win over Miller Place. He had an interception and a fumble recovery and made all five extra-point kicks.
Joey Diesso, Massapequa: He completed 10 of 11 passes for 135 yards and two touchdowns in a 38-14 win over Freeport.
Joseph Filardi, Half Hollow Hills West: He accounted for five touchdowns in the Colts 45-7 win over Westhampton. He rushed for 191 yards and two TDs and threw for 168 yards and three scores in the first half.
Dennis Finkel, Farmingdale: He completed 8 of 9 passes for 136 yards and three touchdowns in a 37-0 win over Westbury.
Atif Heathington, Manhasset: He totaled 292 yards and three touchdowns, including a 99-yard kickoff return for a score, in a 48-14 win over Division. He rushed for 193 yards and two scores on six attempts.
Jayden Higginson, West Hempstead: He rushed for 158 yards and two touchdowns, including the winning 52-yard score with 2:19 left in West Hempstead's 28-27 comeback victory over Valley Stream South.
Jamal Joda, Centereach: He forced a fumble and blocked a punt that was recovered in the end zone by Andre Ozuna in a 28-23 win over Smithtown East.
Dylan Martini, Wantagh: He ran for 201 yards and three touchdowns on five carries in a 50-0 win over Malverne.
Hudson Philbrick, Ward Melville: The sophomore completed 12 of 18 passes for 145 yards and a score in a 21-14 win over Sachem North.
Kevin Qualey, Riverhead: He caught a 46-yard touchdown pass with 29 seconds left to give Riverhead a 19-14 win over Central Islip. He totaled five catches for 76 yards.
Peyton Robinson, Long Island Lutheran: He completed 16 of 26 passes for 332 yards and touchdowns of 15, 49, 54 and 79 yards in a 46-20 win over Xaverian.
Kameron Roy, Long Island Lutheran: He had six catches for 144 yards and touchdowns of 15, 49 and 54 yards.
Ja’Quan Thomas, Floyd: He ran for 166 yards and three touchdowns on 22 carries in a 36-29 win over Longwood. He also rushed for a two-point conversion.
Gio Valenti, Northport: He totaled 10 tackles, two sacks, an interception and blocked a PAT in a 27-6 win over Huntington.
AJ Vurchio, Sachem East: He completed 17 of 22 passes for 205 yards and three scores in a 37-26 win over Commack. He also rushed nine times for 65 yards and a TD.
Daniel White, Half Hollow Hills East: He ran 17 times for 249 yards and four touchdowns in a 39-0 victory over top-seeded North Babylon. White scored on four consecutive possessions, which included runs of three, 19, 49 and 83 yards.
Aidan Winter, Babylon: He rushed for 171 yards and four touchdowns on 21 carries in a 25-7 win over Glenn.
Hunter Yulico, Cold Spring Harbor: He blocked a punt and a field goal attempt in a 41-0 win over Carle Place.
