Farmingdale running back Jordan McLune demonstrated, again, why he’s one of the most dangerous running backs on Long Island.

He ran for 173 yards and four touchdowns as the Dalers (2-0) defeated host Oceanside, 42-7, Friday night in a rematch of last season’s Nassau I championship,

“Oceanside amped it up,” McLune said. “They were cheering 30 minutes before the game even started so they kind of pumped us up a little bit.”

McLune started the scoring with a 34-yard touchdown run, making a cut at the line of scrimmage and scampering untouched to the end zone. His fourth score came on a 22-yard run up the middle in which he broke five tackles.

“Just got to keep playing,” McLune said. “I’m trying to score every time, just trying to make something happen.”

McLune’s second touchdown was set up when Jack Rosen deflected a pass at the line of scrimmage, which Darrin Simons made a nice play on for one of the Dalers’ four interceptions.

Kevin Eversley and Angelo DeLuca added touchdown runs of 72 and 13 yards, respectively.

The Dalers led 35-0 at halftime.
