Brody Schaffer returned an interception 60 yards for a touchdown with 4:55 left in the fourth quarter to help No. 3 Westhampton defeat No. 2 Half Hollow Hills West, 26-21, in a Suffolk III semifinal Saturday.

Will Gambino threw for 117 yards and rushed for a touchdown in the first quarter and Nolan Michalowski ran for 108 yards on 24 carries. Schaffer also scored a six-yard rushing touchdown in the second quarter and connected on field goals of 29 and 44 yards.

Sal Fracapane made five tackles and had a sack and Aidan McDermott and Luke Kilroy each had five tackles. Westhampton (8-2) will play No. 1 Sayville 7 p.m. Thursday, at Stony Brook University in the finals

Holy Trinity 28, Fordham Prep 7: Devin Gonzalez and Jayden Simpson each scored two touchdowns to help No. 1 Holy Trinity defeat No. 5 Fordham Prep in the semifinals of the CHSFL AA-I playoffs.

Simpson scored via a 11-yard reception from Rocco Rainone in the second quarter and added a 25-yard interception return for a score in the third.

Gonzalez had 68 rushing yards and scored on a 28-yard run and a 72-yard reception from Rainone. Holy Trinity (8-1) will play No. 2 Moore Catholic 2 p.m. Saturday at Mitchel Athletic Complex in the final.

Moore Catholic 14, St. John the Baptist 7: Elijah Alvarez scored the lone touchdown in the fourth quarter for No. 3 St. John the Baptist as it lost to No. 2 Moore Catholic in the semifinals of the CHSFL AA-I playoffs.

John Michalski rushed for 121 yards and threw a 16-yard touchdown to Jay’len Johnson for Moore Catholic. RJ Pacheco rushed for 140 yards and scored a two-yard touchdown just before halftime.
