Long Island football's Gridiron Greats for Week 7
Jovanny Brown, Half Hollow Hills East: He rushed for 250 yards and a touchdown in a 23-12 win over Lindenhurst. Brown’s 96-yard touchdown run opened a 22-6 lead.
Michael Fagen, Lynbrook: He rushed for 192 yards on 14 carries and scored two touchdowns in a 33-6 win over Division. He also threw for a score.
Joe Filocamo, Island Trees: He had an 86-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown with 5:06 left in the fourth quarter to break a tie at 28 in a 35-28 win over Clarke. He had a sack and five tackles.
John Giannotti, East Rockaway: He rushed for 194 yards and four touchdowns and had a 76-yard TD reception in a 42-13 win over Oyster Bay.
D'Angelo Gordon, Freeport: He had 12 tackles, including five for a loss, rushed for 72 yards on 13 carries and completed three passes for 68 yards in a 12-0 win over Baldwin.
Luke Hartman, Long Beach: He had a 70-yard kickoff return for a touchdown, a 60-yard interception return for a score and an 8-yard scoring reception in a 56-26 win over Roslyn/Friends Academy
Liam Kershis, Shoreham-Wading River: He ran for 121 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries and caught six passes for 71 yards and two touchdowns in a 45-31 win over Mount Sinai.
Nick Livoti, North Shore: He rushed for 137 yards and two touchdowns on three carries in a 49-27 win over Cold Spring Harbor.
Jack McCormack, Mineola: He ran for touchdowns on both of his carries, runs of 65 and 60 yards, in a 42-14 win over Carle Place/Wheatley.
Will McMullen, Bethpage: He rushed for 216 yards and two scores on 18 carries in a 34-21 win over Carey.
Caden Morra, Plainedge: The senior quarterback passed for 111 yards and two touchdowns in a 35-7 win over Wantagh in a battle of undefeated teams.
Shane Mosia, Plainedge: He rushed for 88 yards on 16 carries and two touchdowns and caught a 39-yard scoring pass in a 35-7 win over Wantagh. He also had 13 tackles, including three for a loss.
Kevin Pilewski, St. John the Baptist: He completed 14 of 20 passes for 219 yards and three touchdowns in a 55-26 win over Mount St. Michael.
Tommy Renner, Mineola: He had two interceptions and ran for 62 yards and two touchdowns on five carries in a 42-14 win over Carle Place/Wheatley.
