1. DANTE TORRES, Sr., St. Anthony’s

Has a big arm and will throw deep . . .  2,338 yards passing, 26 TDs last year. He wants a CHSFL title.

2. BRADY CLARK, Sr., Bayport-Blue Point

Came within a minute of a Suffolk title last year . . . passed for 1,964 yards and 19 TDs last year, but it may be his rushing — 575 yards, 12 TDs — that kept defenses off balance . . . wants another shot at a Suffolk Division IV crown.

3. DEVIN PAGE Jr., Kellenberg

Firebirds captain threw for 1,221 yards and 13 TDs, and ran 57 times for 354 yards and two scores in 2021 . . . team moves up in competition to AAA this season and he’s right guy to lead them.

4. JEREMY WEISS Jr., Commack

Good touch, strong arm . . .  won Orlin & Cohen National Football Foundation QB Challenge this summer.

5. OWEN JOHANSEN, Sr., Northport

Tough, powerful runner, cannon for an arm . . . 1,243 yards, 12 TDs last year playing with a knee injury.

D'Angelo Gordon of Freeport, left, and Brayden Stahl of Smithtown West.

6. D’ANGELO GORDON Jr., Freeport

This is his third season as a starter . . . dual-threat, totaled 16 TDs, 1,459 yards as a sophomore.

7. BRAYDEN STAHL, Jr., Smithtown West

Looking for breakout season with steady core of receivers . . . 1,181 yards, 16 TDs as a sophomore.

8. PETER LIOTTA, Sr., North Shore

There’s something special about a QB that leads his school to its first Long Island Class IV title as an underclassman . . . and there is every reason to believe this playmaker will have the Vikings back in the title hunt this season.

9. JUSTIN MILES, Sr., Bellport

My sleeper pick as a top QB, Miles is moving to the position and will have an immediate impact in the Clippers offense . . . he’s fast, a strong downhill runner and super athletic.

10. MATT CARGIULO, Sr., Manhasset

One of Long Island’s biggest QBs at 6-3, 200 pounds . . . accounted for 1,870 yards and 18 TDs last year . . . expect him to dominate this season.
