Owen West found his brother Brady West for a 20-yard touchdown in double overtime to tie the score and Nick Papadopulos kicked the extra point to propel South Side to a 34-33 win over Floral Park in Nassau Conference III Saturday.

Matt Ollen scored on a 1-yard touchdown run for Floral Park on its first possession of the second overtime period for a 33-27 lead, but the extra point was missed.

Neither team scored in the first overtime, as Floral Park (3-3) forced South Side (3-3) to turn the ball over on downs and Brady West picked off a pass on Floral Park’s first overtime possession. Chase McLaughlin’s 39-yard touchdown run followed by a Chris Naronis successful two-point conversion run tied the score at 27 with about four minutes left.

Owen West completed 7 of 14 passes for 79 yards and two touchdowns to his brother. Brady West threw a 25-yard touchdown to Michael Melkonian in the third quarter and finished with four catches for 56 yards. Jack Lozito ran for 49 yards and a score on 16 carries and Matt Solano added 55 yards and a TD. Naronis tossed a 33-yard pass to Ollen in the third quarter and rushed for a 9-yard score in the fourth quarter for the Knights.

Bethpage 42, Hewlett 14: Brian Luzzi rushed for 209 yards and four touchdowns for Bethpage (4-2). Luzzi opened the scoring with a 55-yard rushing touchdown in the first quarter. He later scored on a 13-yard rush in the second quarter to put Bethpage ahead 13-0.

Sean Smith threw for 81 yards and a touchdown. He connected with Conner Burns on 23-yard touchdown in the second quarter. Burns had three catches for 81 yards and a touchdown. Jack D’Aponte closed out the scoring for Bethpage with a 2-yard run in the fourth quarter. Hewlett is 3-3.

Plainedge 48, Division 13: Vincent Cavaliere’s 83-yard punt return in the first quarter helped Plainedge build a 13-0 lead as improved to 6-0. Travis Shaver opened the scoring with a 6-yard rushing touchdown and completed 9 of 11 passes for 147 yards and tossed a 53-yard touchdown pass to Joe Iadevaio in the second quarter.

Dylan Pepe rushed for 66 yards and three touchdowns on four carries. Mike Dematteo added 73 yards, including a 69-yard TD, on three carries. Shane Mosia recorded nine tackles and Carlo DeGiacomi had a fumble recovery for Plainedge. Division fell to 3-3.

Valley Stream North 34, Mineola 7: Ethan Ramnarain’s 80-yard kickoff return for a touchdown gave Valley Stream North a 20-7 lead in the third quarter. The Spartans (3-3) combined for 204 yards rushing and four touchdowns. Brian Farrell had 46 yards rushing and two scores on six carries, Vaughn Candelario rushed for 56 yards and a TD on eight carries and Josh Lopez ran for 57 yards and a TD on six attempts. Mineola fell to 1-5.

Roosevelt 20, Valley Stream South 0: Jashir Gayle scored on a 2-yard run in the first quarter, Xavier Cooper added a 19-yard score in the fourth quarter and BJ Norman sealed the game with a 17-yard score later in the fourth to lead Roosevelt. Bakail Talmadge picked off a pass in the red zone to halt a Valley Stream Central drive. Gayle rushed for 55 yards and a score on six carries, Cooper rushed for 54 yards and a score on seven carries and Taje Clark ran for 104 yards on 18 carries. Jeremiah Edmonds had eight tackles and a sack, Sendel Garrett added six tackles and two sacks, Zavier Garrell had a fumble recovery and Stephan Branton collected a sack for Roosevelt (3-3). Valley Stream South fell to 1-5.

Wantagh 41, Manhasset 19: Mark Maniet ran for 101 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries, Tyler Martini rushed for 205 yards and a score on 14 carries and Sean Carlo rushed for 52 yards and a score on six carries for Wantagh as it improved to 6-0. Joe Legovich completed 5 of 8 passes for 65 yards and a touchdown. He also had a TD run. Manhasset fell to 1-5.
