Josh Lopez’s 7-yard touchdown run with three and half minutes left in the fourth quarter broke a tie at 21 and led Valley Stream North to a 28-21 win over Lynbrook in Nassau Conference III on Saturday. Brian Farrell completed 8 of 13 passes for 186 yards and two touchdowns and also rushed for 37 yards. Andrew Lusterino had four catches for 144 yards and a TD and Angelo Morales led the defense with 13 tackles and two sacks. Michael Capolino had a 1-yard rushing score and Ethan Ramnarain caught a 16-yard TD pass in the win. VSN improved to 4-4 and Lynbrook fell to 5-3.

Bethpage 14, South Side 6: Justin Crumb had his second interception of the game with 1:55 seconds left in the fourth quarter to seal the win for Bethpage. Brian Luzzi rushed for 119 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries and Jojo Miranda had a 2-yard rushing score in the second quarter to put Bethpage ahead 13-0. Bethpage concluded the regular season at 6-2 and South Side fell to 4-4.

Hewlett 41, Mineola 0: Mark Winkler ran for 143 yards and a touchdown on five carries for Hewlett. Jon Zenny rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown on six carries. His 36-yard touchdown run in the first quarter opened the scoring. Anthony Yakush returned an Evan Greenberg blocked punt 24 yards for a touchdown as part of a 27-point second quarter. Greenberg, Stephen Hoffman and Mekhi Jean-Baptiste also scored rushing touchdowns for Hewlett (5-3). Ryan Player had 11 tackles and CJ Maiorano added 13 tackles to lead the Bulldogs to their third shutout of the season. Mineola is 2-6.

Division 48, Valley Stream South 12:Quarterback Chris Stancarone rushed 11 times for 150 yards and two rushing touchdowns and completed 5 of 7 passes for 97 yards and two TDs for Division. Jack Pendergrass rushed for a 31-yard touchdown on the second play of the first offensive series to put Division ahead 6-0. Pendergrass rushed for 139 yards on 15 carries. Quarterback Chris Stancarone rushed 11 times for 150 yards and two rushing touchdowns and completed 5 of 7 passes for 97 yards and two TDs. Cody Brush rushed for an 11-yard score in the fourth quarter and Raymond Nicholson and Jose Nieves each caught touchdown passes. Jeremy Taggart led the defense with 10 tackles. Division ended the regular season with a 4-4 record and Valley Stream South finished 1-7.

Plainedge 32, Manhasset 14: Joe Iadevaio rushed for 175 yards on 18 attempts and had three receptions for 67 yards with three total touchdowns for Plainedge. Darren Hill completed 6 of 12 passes for 145 yards and three touchdowns and Shane Mosia had 13 tackles, including a sack, in the win. Sal Cirasano’s 5-yard interception return for a touchdown gave Plainedge (8-0) a 19-14 lead in the second quarter. Manhasset fell to 2-6.

Roosevelt 35, Bellmore JFK 6: Xavier Cooper ran for 206 yards and four touchdowns and had five tackles to lead Roosevelt. Stephon Branton added six tackles and a sack. Roosevelt improved to 4-4 and Bellmore JFK fell to 0-8.

Wantagh 49, Floral Park 7: Mark Maniet ran for 155 yards on seven carries and a touchdown, Tyler Martini rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries and Sean Carlo added 60 yards and two touchdowns on five carries and had an interception for Wantagh. Joe Legovich completed 6 of 8 passes for 90 yards and Nick Cupelli had a 10-yard interception return for a touchdown for Wantagh (7-1). Floral Park fell to 4-4.
