Nassau Conference I
Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK 33, Hempstead 20: Eric Weinstein rushed for 142 yards on 10 carries and had a 47-yard touchdown reception from Zac Menkes as host Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK defeated Hempstead in Nassau Conference I football on Friday. Menkes completed 6 of 11 passes for 174 yards and two TDs.
Jeremy Lasak had a 23-yard rushing TD and caught a 1-yard touchdown pass. Alex Zager sealed the win with a 42-yard rushing score for POB JFK (3-4). Amare Collins caught 55- and 40-yard touchdown passes from Seth Montgomery for Hempstead (2-5).
Port Washington 29, Freeport 8: Christian Sarchese ran for 175 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries to lead host Port Washington (4-3). Harry Behan had 22 carries for 197 yards and a touchdown. Max Taylor and Haiden Nadboy each had an interception. Freeport is 3-4.
Massapequa 42, Westbury 0: Joey Diesso threw for 210 yards and three touchdowns. Tyler Villalta rushed seven times for 45 yards and two touchdowns and caught three passes for 55 yards to lead visiting Massapequa (6-1). Andrew Pedalino, Frank Romano and Cole Villalta each caught one touchdown.
Pedalino had two catches for 78 yards and a two-point conversion run. Emmanuel Exantus made 10 tackles and Djurabe Edmond added seven tackles for Westbury (3-4).
Syosset 40, Herricks/Wheatley 13: Austin Cohen punched in two touchdowns on the ground and Ethan Dizon completed a 21-yard touchdown pass to Raghav Ghosh as part of a 19-point second quarter for host Syosset (5-2). Herricks/Wheatley is 3-4.
SATURDAY’S GAMES
East Meadow 49, Valley Steam Central 7: James Galiano rushed for 187 yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries and Noah Garner added 103 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries to lead host East Meadow (4-3). Valley Steam Central is 2-5.
Uniondale 28, Hicksville 6: Abelardo Peralta completed 9 of 12 passes for 210 yards and Jair Perry rushed for 84 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries to lead host Uniondale (2-5). Adrian Ayala had two receptions for 78 yards and Jaden Ayala made all four of his extra-point attempts. Hicksville is 0-7.
Nassau Conference II
Glen Cove 34, Jericho 6: Devin Gonzalez rushed for 233 yards and three touchdown on nine carries and had a two-point conversion run as visiting Glen Cove defeated Jericho in Nassau Conference II football on Friday. Jadyn Johnson ran for 84 yards and two TDs for Glen Cove (6-1). Taha Waly added a touchdown, Gamar Letellier had an interception and Emmanuel Perkins had a sack. Jericho fell to 1-6.
Long Beach 30, MacArthur 6: Brody Riedel had two rushing touchdowns and Wyatt Katzen added a 37-yard TD run for visiting Long Beach (4-3). Jayden Zarco made three PATs and a 23-yard field goal. Brody Juan had a 32-yard fumble return for a touchdown. MacArthur fell to 3-4.
SATURDAY’S GAMES
Carey 48, New Hyde Park 0: Justin DePietro rushed for 72 yards on six carries and had six tackles for visiting Carey (7-0). Billy Koutsoumbaris caught touchdown passes of 10 and 25 yards from Chris Obertis. Christian Todaro rushed for 24 yards and two TDs and JonCarlo Carbone rushed for 60 yards and a score.
Mike Agostino had four tackles and returned an interception 29 yards for a TD. Christian Anaya had two interceptions and four tackles, Koutsoumbaris had one interception and four tackles and James McGrath also had an INT. New Hyde Park is 3-4.
Mepham 37, Sewanhaka 0: Lenny Achan had 13 carries for 90 yards and one rushing TD and one receiving TD for visiting Mepham (6-1). Stephen Soel had eight tackles, including three for a loss, and one sack. James Quilty had eight tackles and Shaki Davidov had seven tackles and returned a fumble 20 yards for a TD. Sewanhaka fell to 1-6.
Roosevelt 33, Roslyn/Friends Academy 7: Tyler Giles ran for 78 yards and two touchdowns on five carries and Kenyen Brown ran five times for 78 yards and two touchdowns for host Roosevelt (4-3). Tyreik McClenic returned an interception 32 yards for a TD, Albert Rodriguez and made a 28-yard field goal. Khy’yen Emile had 49-yard rushing touchdown for Roslyn/Friends Academy (0-7).
Nassau Conference III
Manhasset 42, South Side 35: Atif Heathington rushed for 199 yards on 12 carries and four touchdowns to lead visiting Manhasset to a win over South Side in Nassau Conference III football on Saturday. Dylan Attard added 117 yards on 10 carries and two touchdowns for Manhasset (6-1).
Brady Baulch had five tackles and two TFLs and Marcus Davis had five tackles, two TFLs and one fumble recovery.
Justin Singh scored three touchdowns for South Side (2-5).
Clarke 30, Division 19: Matt Kurz had 137 total yards and three rushing touchdowns to lead visiting Clarke (3-4). Michael Iadevaia rushed for 126 yards, including an 8-yard touchdown, and had a key 58-yard run in the fourth quarter to help secure the victory. Jake Thakkar rushed for 91 yards on 19 carries. Division falls to 3-4.
Lynbrook 43, Valley Stream North 7: Bennett Votano amassed 217 all-purpose yards and rushed for two touchdowns to lead host Lynbrook (4-3). Michael Potash also rushed for two touchdowns and a two-point conversion. Brian Butler added a 22-yard rushing touchdown.
Imran Paul caught a 15-yard TD pass from Tyler Malyah for Valley Stream South (2-5).
FRIDAY’S GAMES
Floral Park 35, Hewlett 14: Justin Mallon completed 5 of 6 passes for 95 yards, including a 49-yard passing touchdown to James Gorman, and added 12 rushes for 134 yards and two more scores on the ground to lead visiting Floral Park (5-2).
Eric Terwilliger had eight tackles and John Segota had six tackles and a sack. Tyreak Cobb sealed the game with a 51-yard rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter for Floral Park, finishing with 14 carries for 164 yards and two touchdowns. Dylan Parchment ripped off a 36-yard rushing TD for Hewlett (3-4) and Matthew DeCicco completed a 21-yard passing touchdown to Michael Schlemovich.
Mineola 31, Bellmore JFK 14: Gavin McLaughlin had 13 carries for 176 yards and three touchdowns to lead host Mineola (1-6). John Cosgrove had nine carries for 118 yards and a touchdown. Justin Aparicio went 4 for 4 on PATs and hit a 19-yard field goal. Besian Husiq recovered a fumble.
Corey Abel had a 46-yard touchdown run and Charlie Gampero had a 46-yard TD run for Bellmore JFK (0-7).
Nassau Conference IV
West Hempstead 21, Carle Place 14: Jamir Houston had a sack on the game’s final play after having 11 tackles and a forced fumble for host West Hempstead in a victory over Carle Place in Nassau Conference IV football on Friday.
Jon Houston had an 89-yard kickoff return TD in the win. Carle Place in 3-4.
Cold Spring Harbor 42, East Rockaway 6: Alex Bauer ran 17 times for 272 yards and three touchdowns to lead host Cold Spring Harbor (7-0) over East Rockaway (4-4).
Wantagh 48, Seaford 14: Dylan Martini had 11 carries for 201 yards and five TDs to lead visiting Wantagh (6-1) over Seaford (3-4).
Plainedge 42, Island Trees 14: Jaxson Torres threw for 247 yards and three TDs to lead visiting Plainedge (7-1) over Island Trees (3-4).
SATURDAY’S GAMES
Locust Valley 13, Malverne 8: Connor Geertgens threw for 152 yards and two TDs to lead host Locust Valley (4-3) over Malverne (2-5).
North Shore 42, Lawrence 14: Gianlucca Sferrazza rushed for 68 yards for host North Shore (4-3) over Lawrence (0-7).
Valley Stream South 35, Oyster Bay 8: David Brooks rushed for 243 yards and three TDs on seven carries to lead host VSS (2-5) over Oyster Bay (1-6).
