Nassau Conference I
Westbury 21, Uniondale 14: David Monfort rushed for 194 yards on 19 carries and two touchdowns in Westbury’s road win over Uniondale in Nassau Conference I football on Saturday. He also had a sack.
Monfort had touchdown runs of 37 and 21 yards in the first half. Westbury (3-3) scored the game’s first 21 points.
Ladan Cerna had 107 receiving yards and Ryan Destrat completed 7 of 12 passes for 223 yards.
Emmanuel Exantus had 10 tackles and one sack and Djurabe Edmond had seven tackles and two sacks.
Uniondale falls to 1-5.
Farmingdale 42, Freeport 14: Josh Kama rushed 22 times for 235 yards and three touchdowns and Patrick Videau added 135 yards on seven carries and a touchdown to lead visiting Farmingdale (5-1).
Rocco Martillotti had 12 tackles and a sack and Matt Ippoliti added 11 tackles and a sack. Dennis Finkel completed 5 of 8 passes for 75 yards and one touchdown.
James Collins had two receptions for 36 yards and a touchdown and Jovens Theodate added a rushing touchdown. Tyler Grayson scored two touchdowns for Freeport (3-3).
Syosset 35, Hempstead 26: Ethan Dizon threw touchdown passes of 13 and 27 yards and added a 1-yard rushing touchdown for visiting Syosset (4-2). Adam Marvin returned the opening kickoff for a 96-yard touchdown.
Dizon ran in a two-point conversion after his 1-yard touchdown run, which gave Syosset a 35-20 lead in the fourth quarter.
Jonathan Davis had three touchdown receptions for Hempstead (2-4).
Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK 42, Valley Stream Central 6: Jeremy Lasak rushed six times for 75 yards, scoring 15 and 20-yard touchdowns for host Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK (2-4). Ethan Brake took 12 carries for 57 yards and two touchdowns. Valley Stream Central is 2-4.
FRIDAY’S GAMES
Oceanside 42, East Meadow 14: Shane Harmon completed 11 of 14 passes for 340 yards and four touchdowns, adding two rushes for 60 yards to lead host Oceanside (6-0). Kyle Scheuer made the most of his four catches, turning them into 176 yards and two touchdowns. Dillon Tveter had seven receptions for 107 yards and two TDs. East Meadow falls to 3-3.
Herricks/Wheatley 55, Hicksville 33: Troy Madden completed 7 of 8 passes for 172 yards and three touchdowns and added a 20-yard rushing touchdown to lead visiting Herricks/Wheatley (3-3). Aziz Kamran had five receptions for 147 yards and two touchdowns Kevin Vega rushed for two touchdowns for Hicksville (0-6).
Nassau Conference II
Mepham 22, New Hyde Park 18: Owen Heller had the winning 9-yard touchdown run in the third quarter of visiting Mepham’s win over New Hyde Park in Nassau Conference II football on Saturday.
Heller’s touchdown, followed by Ryan Bayer’s PAT, were the game’s final points.
Trailing 18-7 in the second quarter, Heller connected with Tyler Rannacher for a 50-yard touchdown before halftime, and, after Heller found Matthew Biscardi for a two-point conversion, Mepham cut New Hyde Park’s lead to 18-15.
Heller finished with 218 passing yards and two touchdowns and 73 rushing yards with a score for Mepham (5-1).
Nicky Gampero had two receptions for 103 yards, including a 70-yard touchdown from Heller. Rannacher had three receptions for 80 yards.
Andrew Notine threw three touchdown passes and Tito Ruiz had two touchdown receptions for New Hyde Park (3-3).
Calhoun 34, Roslyn/Friends Academy 12: Nick Maresca rushed for 44 yards and two touchdowns to lead visiting Calhoun. (3-3).
Joe Belbol had a 61-yard interception return and Jake Baci had an interception. Gianni Castiglia added two sacks.
Ethan Yedvab had a 9-yard rushing touchdown and threw a 20-yard touchdown pass for Roslyn/Friends Academy (0-6).
FRIDAY’S GAMES
Long Beach 26, Sewanhaka 6: Brody Riedel had touchdown runs of 15 and 11 yards to lead host Long Beach (3-3). Wyatt Katzen had a 9-yard touchdown run to give Long Beach a 13-6 lead following a PAT from Jayden Zarco in the second quarter.
Braylon Metellus had a 65-yard touchdown run for Sewanhaka (1-5).
Glen Cove 36, MacArthur 9: Jadyn Johnson completed 8 of 11 passes for 153 yards with two touchdowns and three two-point conversions for visiting Glen Cove. He also added 81 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
Peter Satchell had three receptions for 100 yards and two touchdowns.
Devon Gonzalez rushed for 140 yards with a touchdown and a two-point conversion. Gonzalez and Taha Waly had interceptions and Gamar Letellier had eight tackles and a sack for Glen Cove (5-1). MacArthur is 3-3.
Baldwin 42, Jericho 0: Kassimi Taylor had 170 yards on 13 carries and two touchdowns, both in the first quarter. Angel Johnson had 70 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries for visiting Baldwin (3-3). Ryan Healey had 10 tackles, including four for a loss, and a fumble recovery. Jericho is 1-5.
Nassau Conference III
Hewlett 21, South Side 19: Hewlett forced an incomplete pass on a two-point conversion attempt with Daniel Karadi in coverage after South Side scored a touchdown with 16 seconds left in the fourth quarter. The stop preserved a victory for visiting Hewlett over South Side in Nassau Conference III football on Friday.
Matt DeCicco rushed for 251 yards on 18 carries and two touchdowns, including a 1-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter to give Hewlett a 21-13 lead.
Nate Schwartzberg found AJ Magaraci for a 9-yard touchdown with 16 seconds left for South Side (2-4).
Daniel Lankri and Gianni Griffith combined for 24 tackles and CJ Maiorano added 11 tackles for Hewlett (3-3).
Elmont 33, Division 18: Nassir Edwards had eight receptions for 116 yards and a touchdown and had a 47-yard interception return for a touchdown to lead visiting Elmont (5-1). Aiden Barnes completed 16 of 28 passes for 217 yards and three touchdowns. Jason Dooley rushed for 103 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries for Division (3-3).
SATURDAY’S GAMES
Valley Stream North 17, Clarke 14: AJ Strojan made a winning 32-yard field goal with 18 seconds left in the fourth quarter to break a tie at 14 for host Valley Stream North (2-4).
Tony Casoria’s 5-yard touchdown run followed by Izaiah Hill’s two-point conversion run tied the score at 14 for Valley Stream North in the third quarter.
Dominic Verso had seven tackles, an interception and a forced fumble in the win. Michael Iadevaia had two TD runs for Clarke (3-3).
Garden City 49, Lynbrook 7: Anthony Asaro rushed four times for 94 yards, including a 76-yard touchdown, and also recovered a fumble to lead host Garden City (7-0). Jake Brenneis had an 81-yard touchdown run for Lynbrook (3-3).
Manhasset 42, Mineola 0: Dylan Attard scored on two TD runs of 8 and 5 yards and Atif Heathington rushed 61 yards for a score and returned a kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown for host Manhasset (5-1). Mineola is 0-6.
Bethpage 34, Bellmore JFK 7: Anthony Gurasci threw two touchdown passes to lead visiting Bethpage (4-3). Jaden Celestin rushed for 60 yards and Niko Bachas had 13 tackles for Bellmore JFK (0-6).
Nassau Conference IV
East Rockaway 28, Seaford 7: Anthony Grimaldi rushed for 195 yards and two touchdowns on 32 carries to lead host East Rockaway to victory over Seaford in Nassau Conference IV football on Friday. Grimaldi had a 10-yard touchdown run followed by Antonio Buzzetta’s two-point conversion run which gave East Rockaway a 22-7 lead in the third quarter.
Buzzetta had 78 yards on 16 carries and a touchdown for East Rockaway (4-3). Edwin Abreu Lopez recovered two onside kicks from Joe Ventura. Seaford falls to 3-3.
Island Trees 28, West Hempstead 14: Joe Filocamo had four touchdowns to lead visiting Island Trees (3-3). He had 76 rushing yards and two TDs and 78 receiving yards and two scores.
Joe Mainente rushed eight times for 48 yards and added three receptions for 83 yards.
Larry Ford returned the opening kick 90 yards for a score for West Hempstead (3-3).
Locust Valley 47, Oyster Bay 8: Liam Baker had 12 carries for 144 yards and two touchdowns and added eight tackles and a fumble recovery to lead visiting Locust Valley (3-3). Joe Lagalante rushed for 34 yards and two touchdowns. Oyster Bay falls to 1-5.
Valley Stream South 49, Lawrence 6: David Brooks rushed four times for 125 yards and two touchdowns to lead host Valley Stream South (1-5). Peter Grief added a 93-yard touchdown run and Jayshaun Woodard had a 71-yard interception return for a touchdown. Lawrence falls to 0-6.
SATURDAY’S GAMES
Carle Place 40, Malverne 0: Nick Moretta had two interception returns for touchdowns, one for 42 yards and another for 24 yards, and he also had a 22-yard touchdown run for visiting Carle Place (3-3). Moretta also rushed for 115 yards on 11 carries and had a two-point conversion. Malverne falls to 2-4.
Wantagh 40, North Shore 0: Dylan Martini had 122 yards on 11 carries and added two receptions for 32 yards and a 95-yard touchdown off an interception to lead host Wantagh (5-1).
