Shamus Naughton's sack in end zone sparks Holy Trinity
Shamus Naughton's second quarter sack in the end zone sparked a 17-point rally for Holy Trinity (1-1), as it defeated Monsignor Farrell, 17-14, in CHSAA. Matt Sheehan had eight catches for 120 yards and a TD, and Joe Ferguson scored the go-ahead score on a four-yard run in the third. Joe Gotti had nine solo tackles; Naughton finished with two sacks.
St. Francis Prep 33, St. Johns the Baptist 27:SJB's Greg Egan found Brian Sinclair for a 15-yard touchdown in overtime but Colin Steven's extra point was blocked to force a second overtime where St. Francis won the game on an 18-yard touchdown run. Egan, whose two-yard TD pass to Ludvig Francis forced overtime, finished 7-for-11 with 88 yards.
