Jeremy Weiss completed 8 of 14 passes for 162 yards and three touchdowns, including a 16-yard game-winning touchdown to Matthew Rosenoff with 3:30 remaining in Commack’s 28-21 victory over Sachem East in Suffolk Division I on Saturday. Commack trailed 21-7 in the second quarter, but scored 21 unanswered points to complete the comeback. Jake McKay rushed for 181 yards and a two-point conversion. Richard Yopp caught a touchdown pass in the second quarter and rushed for a touchdown in the third to cut Commack’s deficit to 21-20. Yopp and Jayden Salti each had an interception. McKay and Joon Choi led Commack (3-2) with 12 tackles each.
Sachem North 35, Bay Shore 7: Tyler Hall rushed for 77 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries for Sachem North. Anthony Vino was 11-for-15 passing for 183 yards and two touchdowns, connecting with Andrew Eaton for both scores in the second half. Vino rushed for 43 yards on 10 carries and a touchdown. Christopher Lombardo made seven tackles for Sachem North (3-2).
Longwood 42, Central Islip 7: Terrance Robinson rushed for 115 yards and three touchdowns on seven carries in Suffolk I. He scored three of Longwood’s first four touchdowns with runs of 6, 32 and 73 yards. Angel Chestnut ran for a 52-yard touchdown and a total of 85 yards on four carries. Nnamdi Nwanyanwu ran for 71 yards and a 19-yard touchdown on seven carries. Tyler Chestnut had a sack for Longwood (4-1).
Ward Melville 48, Riverhead 0: Andrew Belli completed 3-of-5 passes for 68 yards and two touchdowns and added 47 rushing yards and a touchdown on four carries for Ward Melville (4-1) in Suffolk I. Nick Gaffney had 14 carries for 127 yards and a touchdown and Griffin Kramer added 105 rushing yards on 14 carries. Brody Morgan returned a punt 68 yards for a touchdown and went 6-for-7 on point after attempts. Ward Melville totaled 375 yards rushing and averaged 8.7 yards per carry.
Floyd 51, Brentwood 0: Wayne Street returned the opening kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown and caught a 40-yard touchdown for Floyd in Suffolk I. LaDuke Harris completed all three of his passes for 50 yards, including a 32-yard touchdown pass to Jake Yourison. AJ Cannet completed both of his pass attempts for 94 yards and two touchdowns. Caden Lesiewicz returned an interception 52 yards for a touchdown and went 7-for-7 on point-after attempts. Levar Rollerson caught two passes for 62 yards, including a 54-yard touchdown for Floyd (5-0).
