Roddy Roche finished off a 16-play, 82-yard drive with a 12-yard touchdown pass to Mike Stack with 3:32 left in the game as Wantagh defeated MacArthur, 21-14, Saturday in Nassau II football.

Wantagh (2-0) opened the third with a 14-play, 80-yard drive that took nearly the entire quarter. Brandon Watson finished the drive with a 3-yard run that tied the score at 14 for the Warriors.

Watson rushed for 161 yards on 14 carries and scored two TDs. Peter Brasile had 15 tackles and Nick English added eight tackles in the win.

New Hyde Park 41, Herricks 26: Nick Perrone hit Paul Reo with a 52-yard touchdown pass on the first play of the game to give New Hyde Park (1-1) a 7-0 lead in Nassau II. Perrone finished with 193 yards passing and three touchdowns. Christian Trasoline rushed for 115 yards, scored a touchdown and kicked three field goals for New Hyde Park. Josh Lee intercepted a pass and made five tackles the Gladiators.

Long Beach 42, Carey 20: Adam Salvadori threw touchdown passes of 19, 57 and 85 yards to lead Long Beach (2-0) in Nassau II. Salvadori finished the afternoon with 193 yards passing. J.P Forkin rushed for 143 yards in the win, Chris Parler had a 45-yard interception return and Matt Firpo had 10 tackles forLong Beach.

Bethpage 29, Sewanhaka 20: Chris Feruzza scored on a 6- yard touchdown run and then ran for the two-point conversion in the opening minutes of the fourth quarter to give Bethpage a 21-20 lead. Kevin DeCastro had 11 tackles to lead the Bethpage defense (1-1) in Nassau III. Mark Soto finished with 74 yards on 17 carries and three touchdowns, Feruzza carried 10 times for 94 yards and Shane Lackey ran for 45 yards on eight carries. Soto scored on a 5-yard run in the fourth quarter to provide the final margin.
