2011 All-Long Island girls soccer

KRISTI ABBATE
Midfield, Northport, senior
Abbate's speed and field vision allow her to beat defenders at will and create scoring opportunities with her perfect set-ups. The George Washington University-bound midfielder finished the season with five goals and eight assists to earn second team All-State honors.

NATALIE CIKOS
Midfield, Sacred Heart, senior
The co-CHSAA Player of the Year is versatile and technically strong, which enables her to play multiple positions on the field. The Northwestern-bound Cikos played primarily in center midfield this season, amassing three goals and three assists to make fourth team All-State.

ROSIE DIMARTINO
Forward, Massapequa, junior
DiMartino, a Boston College-commit, used her speed and power to notch some of the biggest goals of the year for the Chiefs, leading Massapequa in scoring with 13 goals and two assists. Massapequa was undefeated (8-0-3) when DiMartino scored and winless (0-4-2) when she did not.

ALLY RAMOS
Goalkeeper, Ward Melville, senior
The large school Goalkeeper of the Year, who will play at the University of Vermont next year, allowed just eight goals and recorded 13 shutouts to earn second team All-State. Ramos recorded 15 saves in a 1-0 win over Northport as Ward Melville captured its first county championship.

LONG ISLAND PLAYER OF THE YEAR: CARI ROCCARO
Midfield, East Islip, senior
The resume continues to grow for the Notre Dame-bound Roccaro, who was named Newsday's girls soccer Player of the Year. With the perfect combination of size, speed and skill, Roccaro - who had 11 goals and three assists - made first team All-Long Island for the third time in her high school career and was named an NSCAA All-American for the second straight season.

KIM MARRA
Midfield, Sayville, senior
The small school Player of the Year was the best player on the only perfect team in Suffolk during the regular season. Her foot skills and ball control helped her record 12 goals and eight assists and earn a spot on first team All-State.

ROSY HAYES
Forward, Northport, senior
The Loyola-bound Hayes established herself as a top offensive threat with 17 goals, second most in Suffolk Class AA, and five assists this season. After recording seven multi-goal games and helping Northport advance to the county championship game, Hayes earned first team All-State honors.

JENNY SCRO
Sweeper, MacArthur, junior
Scro was the anchor of MacArthur's unbelievably stingy defense which allowed just seven goals and 44 shots on goal in 20 games (15 shutouts). The junior sweeper was a ball hawk and an instrumental part of MacArthur's first state championship squad.

CHRISTINA KLAUM
Forward/Midfield, South Side, sophomore
Klaum became an unstoppable force in the playoffs, scoring 11 of her 20 goals in the postseason to lead South Side to its 16th state title. The youngest member of the All-Long Island team was named the Class A finals MVP.

OLIVIA CZAVAR
Forward, West Hempstead, senior
Czavar led Nassau Class A in goals (13) during the regular season and was named state Class A Player of the Year. The West Hempstead star finishes her five-year varsity career with 59 goals and 18 assists.

NASSAU PLAYER OF THE YEAR: JILL MULHOLLAND
Midfield, MacArthur, senior
Mulholland was named an NSCAA All-American and the state Class AA co-Player of the Year after scoring 17 goals and 11 assists to lead MacArthur to its first state title. The Hofstra-bound midfielder had five goals and two assists in the postseason including the lone goal in the state championship. Mulholland combines great ball skills with speed, power and finesse, making her one of the best all-around players on the Island. She is a member of the All-Long Island first team for the second straight year.

KRISTA FITZPATRICK
Midfield, Division, senior
Fitzpatrick was a master of set pieces as she notched an Island-best 20 assists and helped lead Division to an undefeated regular season. The Albany-bound midfielder finishes her varsity career with 26 goals and 70 assists.

KRISTINA GANDOLFO
Forward, Calhoun, senior
Gandolfo was the top goal scorer in Nassau (24) and led Calhoun to an undefeated regular season and a stunning upset of top-seeded Farmingdale in the Class AA quarterfinals. The agile and elusive forward had 10 assists and tied for an Island-best 34 points.

MARGO MCGINTY
Midfield, St. Anthony's, senior
The Northwestern-bound midfielder helped lead St. Anthony's to its first state title since 2007. McGinty, a great distributor who assisted on the game winning goal in the Long Island championship against Kellenberg, had seven goals and one assist and was selected first team All-State.
