2013 All-Long Island boys golf team
MARK REILLY
Long Island Golfer of the Year, St. John the Baptist , Sr.
Reilly won his second straight CHSAA individual championship, shooting a one-over 73 at Eisenhower Red and then making par on the sudden-death playoff hole. Already an accomplished golfer at the amateur level, Reilly will be golfing at the University of Richmond next year. |
KYLE BURKE
Sayville, Junior
Tied for third place in the state tournament at Cornell University with a two-day score of 151, his best finish in his five-year career. He also tied for second in the county championship with a 146 and placed eighth in the State Federation Cup with an 84 at Bethpage Black. Burke went 11-0-1 in dual-meet competition in the fall and led Sayville to an undefeated season. |
JOSH LEDDY
Smithtown East, Senior
Placed fourth in the Suffolk tournament and helped lead Smithtown East a 13-1 record in the fall to its second county championship in program history. A five-year varsity player, Leddy is a two-time state qualifier and Smithtown East has won the League III championship every year he has been on the team. |
MATT LOWE
Farmingdale, Junior
Won the third Nassau individual championship of his five-year career with score of 140 over the two-day tournament. He also led Farmingdale to its fourth county championship and third Long Island championship in five years, shooting a five-over 76 at Bethpage Black in the Long Island title match. |
MICHAEL MIRANDA
Middle Country, Junior
Won his second consecutive Suffolk individual championship with a two-day total of 146 at Indian Island Golf Course. Miranda also went 12-0 in dual-meet competition and helped lead Middle Country to a share of the League II championship, its first league title since 1996. |
JOHN BERARDI
Coach of the year, Farmingdale
Led Farmingdale to its fourth county championship and third Long Island championship in the past five years.

Kyle Brey, Junior, Farmingdale: Shot 81 in the LI Championship.
Sean Byrne, Senior, South Side: Tied for fifth at states with a two-day score of 152.
Ken Doyle, Junior, Chaminade (pictured): Tied for third in CHSAA tournament; helped win team title.
Chris Lambrou, Junior, Holy Trinity: Second in CHSAA tournament.
