Andrew Law allowed one run in 5 2/3 innings and struck out 14 to lead Sayville over Hampton Bays, 10-4, in Suffolk VI baseball on Saturday. Law went 4-for-5 with two doubles and two RBIs.
Tyler Sebor went 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI. Gavin Acker went 1-for-3 with two walks and two runs for Sayville (3-0).
Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK 12, Syosset 6: Alex Reifer went 3-for-4 with a walk and two RBIs and Jake Gruttadauria went 3-for-5 with an RBI to lead Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK (2-1) in a Nassau AAA crossover game. Josh Kim struck out six batters in five innings of relief to earn the win.
SOFTBALL
Syosset 15, Seaford 9: Sienna Renny went 4-for-5 with six RBIs, including a three-run home run in the top of the first inning to lead Syosset (3-0) in non-league. Ella Lanza and Alexa Plevrites each went 2-for-4 with an RBI.
Long Beach 17, Baldwin 10: Myla Sanchez had three hits, including a three-run homer in the top of the first, to lead Long Beach (2-0). Hailey Cardiello had three hits, three runs and two RBIs and Emmalee Eagan had two hits, three RBIs and three runs. Baldwin is 1-2.
GIRLS LACROSSE
Islip 7, Shoreham-Wading River 6: Carley Mullins scored five goals to lead Islip (3-1) in Suffolk II. Caitlin Barnes had two goals and an assist and Taylor Reising had four assists. Abigail Dieumegard made 10 saves. Grace Kitchen scored two goals for Shoreham-Wading River (0-2)
Massapequa 12, Longwood 7: Savanna Appleton had four goals and two assists to lead Massapequa (1-0) in non-league. Cameron Labriola had four goals and an assist. Keira Durnin made two saves. Abigail Warner made six saves and Olivia Hollingsworth scored three goals for Longwood (1-3).
BOYS LACROSSE
Kings Park 16, Hauppauge 8: Jack Salva scored six goals to lead Kings Park (4-0) in Suffolk II. Billy Berhalter and Tommy Cassar each added three goals. Kole Lemke had four goals and one assist and Jordan Feltz made 12 saves for Hauppauge (3-1).
Commack 13, Lindenhurst 7: James Pagano had four goals and two assists to lead Commack (2-1) in Suffolk I. Zach Fishman added a goal and three assists. Jayden Lovell won 15 faceoffs and Colin Caputo made 12 saves. Joe Scavone scored four goals for Lindenhurst (1-3).
