Emily Bouros struck out 23 over 12 innings in a 6-5 win for West Islip over Westhampton in non-league softball on Monday.

Camryn Mariano scored the winning run in the 12th inning. Bouros, Leah Giana and Juliet Aguanno each had RBIs.

Addison Celi struck out 27 over 11 2⁄3 innings for Westhampton (12-4). She also went 3-for-5 with two doubles, a homer and two RBIs.

The game was a continuation from April 5, resuming with the score tied at 3 in the top of the 10th inning on Monday.

Sachem East 4, Brentwood 2: Olivia DeRose had 12 strikeouts to lead Sachem East (14-3) in Suffolk I. Sam Madigan, Gianna Montes and Gianna Prisco each had an RBI.

East Rockaway 3, North Shore 2: Isabella DeCunzo had the winning single to drive in Charlotte Webster in the top of the eighth inning and Sofia Ramirez struck out 15 over eight innings to lead East Rockaway (14-4) in Nassau V. Ramirez allowed just two unearned runs, two hits and two walks. Webster led off the game with a home run on the first pitch. Maddy Metz tied the score with an RBI single to drive in Ramirez in the top of the seventh inning.

Holy Trinity 7, Sacred Heart 0: Jaeda Bartfield struck out 16 in a complete game to lead Holy Trinity (5-4) in NSCHSAA. She also went 2-for-4 with a triple. Mackenzie Torres went 2-for-3 and Tia DePalo went 1-for-3 with a homer.

St. Anthony’s 5, Clarence 4: Juli Murillo drove in Sofia Erker and Sofia Lee on a walk-off single in the 12th inning of the semifinals of the Morabito Tournament on Sunday. Mila Fiordalisi pitched all 12 innings against the 2023 NYSPHSAA Class AA champions, allowing one earned run and striking out 16 to earn her 15th win of the season. St. Anthony’s (18-0) was co-champion of the tournament after weather canceled the final. Fiordalisi was named tournament MVP.

BASEBALL

Mount Sinai 3, Islip 2: Nate Castro hit a walk-off single to drive in Jackson Paplin with no outs in the seventh inning for Mount Sinai (8-10) in Suffolk VI. Mark Fazio tossed a one-hitter with three stirkeouts.

Ralph Passantino went 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored and James Trepiccione went 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Miller Place 5, Hampton Bays 0: Nick Frusco pitched five scoreless, one-hit innings and struck out 12 while Joe Fallon went 2-for-3 with three RBIs to lead Miller Place (12-6). Joe Salgado went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.

Sayville 7, Harborfields 1: Tyler Brown tossed a no-hitter with 10 strikeouts for Sayville (11-7) in Suffolk VI. Brown also had a two-run single in the first inning. Andrew Law went 1-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. Gavin Acker went 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI.

Sewanhaka 4, Malverne 2: Gabe Gil had an RBI single in the top of the eighth inning to give Sewanhaka a 3-2 lead in Nassau Countywide I. Jayden Estevez went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and had a tying triple in the fifth inning for Sewanhaka (6-8). Ethan Tome allowed no earned runs with nine strikeouts in the complete game.

Seaford 10, Locust Valley 0: Tom Apollo allowed one hit in a five-inning complete game with nine strikeouts to lead Seaford (12-6) in Nassau A-II. Luke Walsh hit a solo homer, Dylan Alt went 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored and Jordan Cassuto went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored.

East Rockaway 3, Friends Academy 0: Jack Sauer tossed a 12-strikeout complete game to lead East Rockaway (6-12) in Nassau B. Thomas Foster started a three-run sixth inning with a leadoff triple. Conor O’Hagan added two hits.

GIRLS BADMINTON

MacArthur 4, Oyster Bay 3: Emma Mignone and Lauren Lane defeated Brooklyn Matt and Fran Alejo, 21-16, 21-14, at first doubles to lead MacArthur (8-5) in Nassau IV.

Port Washington 4, Wantagh 3: Jesse Peretz bested Olivia Belling, 21-13, 21-10, at second singles for Port Washington (10-3) in Nassau II.
