Brandon Guidotti scored the winner with four minutes left in the first overtime period, not long after tying the score with 20 seconds left in regulation on a free kick from 50 yards, in a 2-1 win for Smithtown East over North Babylon in Suffolk League IV boys soccer on Saturday.

Joe Marano assisted the winning goal and Nico Skartsiaris had four saves for Smithtown East (6-3-1).

Newfield 2, Huntington 0: Eli Rubio scored with 10 minutes left in the first half off an assist from his brother Sid for the game’s first goal for Newfield (5-5-1). Brandon Seddio added another goal 12 minutes into the second half. John Caso made five saves.

Bay Shore 3, Copiague 2: Hichem Abbad scored the winning goal off an assist from Ager Agirregomezkorta in the second overtime period to give Bay Shore a 3-2 victory in Suffolk III. Sebastian Cayo scored in the second half off an assist from Abbad to give Bay Shore (5-5-1) a 2-1 lead before Anthony Ramirez scored the tying goal on a penalty kick for Copiague to force overtime. Agirregomezkorta scored off an assist from Dwightberto Valladares in the second half after Odane Purcell scored the game’s first goal for Copiague (4-7). Stiven Gereda had 20 saves for Bay Shore. Kendel Serrano recorded 16 saves for Copiague.

Brentwood 4, Patchogue-Medford 4: Nick Espitia scored with four minutes left in the second half as Brentwood rallied from a 4-1 halftime deficit to force a draw in Suffolk I. Ryan Lazaridis scored two goals for Patchogue-Medford (6-3-2). Diego Argueta, Jessy Pacheco Carranza, and Josue Granados also scored for Brentwood (11-0-2). Cris Ramos and Justin Sarmiento both scored for Patchogue-Medford.

Carle Place 2, Friends Academy 1: Stratos Mehalakes scored the equalizer off a Ryan Leary assist in the 80th minute and five minutes later, Leary scored the winner for Carle Place (9-2-2) in Nassau AB-III.

GIRLS SOCCER

North Babylon 1, Commack 0: Katelyn Nunziato scored off an assist from Monica Clavijo with 2:12 left in the second half to lead North Babylon (11-0-1) in non-conference. Alexa Furman made eight saves for North Babylon.

Comsewogue 1, Westhampton 0: Jayla Callender scored the winning goal in the first half for Comsewogue (5-5-1) in Suffolk VI. Lila Capra had seven saves in the win.

Half Hollow Hills West 3, Hauppauge 1: Ghita Haouzi had two goals and an assist and Zoe Franks made 12 saves to lead Hills West (8-1).

Patchogue-Medford 3, Whitman 1: AJ Martin scored in the 63rd minute to break a tie at 1 for Patchogue-Medford (5-5) in non-league. Olivia Hanley opened the scoring by redirecting a ball off the crossbar and Madison Eddington scored late in the second half.

FIELD HOCKEY

Miller Place 6, Sayville 3: Giulia Francese had two goals and two assists to lead Miller Place (10-1) in Suffolk II. Ava Vadyak had two goals and one assist for Sayville (5-7).

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Commack 3, Connetquot 1: Chloe Masciovecchio had 23 kills and eight digs and Kaitlin Curran had 21 kills and five digs as Commack (9-0) won, 25-21, 25-20, 20-25, 25-13, in Suffolk II. Emma Li added 41 assists and Ava Khan had 17 digs.

Harborfields 3, West Babylon 1: Liz Sabino had 17 kills and Maya Bartocha had seven kills and three aces as Harborfields (10-1) won, 25-11, 25-7, 27-29, 25-11, in Suffolk IV.

Elmont 3, Plainedge 2: Osazeme Ekhator and Ariana Patterson combined for 17 blocks, Jaeda Patrick added 25 digs and Rhianna Miller had 13 kills to lead Elmont (6-5), 25-23, 13-25, 15-25, 25-20, 15-9, in Nassau III.
