1. LONG BEACH WRESTLING: It’s been an amazing two weeks for the Marines. They captured the Union-Endicott dual meet title with a 34-31 win over Hilton. The tournament decides the state’s dual meet champion. Long Beach improved to 11-0. Jacori Teemer captured the 126-pound class at the Eastern States Tournament at Sullivan CC and the Marines finished fourth in the 150-team field.

2. WARD MELVILLE BOYS FENCING: The Patriots defeated Commack, 18-9, and Huntington, 22-5, to improve to 10-0 and extend their win streak to 135 matches. Daniel Solomon and Dan Deto went 3-0 in sabre against Huntington.

3. BAY SHORE GIRLS TRACK: Aviana Goode had the top 55-meter hurdle time on L.I. and ran an 8.00 at the Hispanic Games at The Armory. Bay Shore also had the top 4 x 55-meter shuttle hurdle relay time (37.59) and 3 x 55-meter shuttle hurdle relay time (27.34), according to the website Milesplit.

4. BALDWIN GIRLS BASKETBALL: The defending county champions have allowed just 28.7 points per game over the last seven contests. Jenna Anneccharico had 16 points and Aziah Hudson added 15 in a 72-27 win over Plainview JFK.

5. EAST ISLIP GIRLS BOWLING: The members of the starting team are all in the top 12 in county averages. Olivia Lopera leads East Islip with a 217 average through 30 games. Sisters Lyndsay and Melissa Mavrich, Julia Bocamazo and Jenny Murphy round out the lineup.

6. HUNTINGTON BOYS TRACK: Huntington will be well represented at next month’s Millrose Games. Kyree Johnson ran a 6.45 in the 55-meter dash at the Millrose Trials. Johnson and teammates Exzayvian Crowell, Lawrence Leake and Infinite Tucker also won the Long Island 4 x 400-meter relay in 3:20.71 at the trials to qualify for the relay portion of the prestigious meet on Feb 20.

7. SACHEM BOYS BOWLING: Sachem has looked dominant this season, its first as a combined team. Nick Caruana leads Sachem with a 230.75 average through 36 games and Anthony Naujokas is second with a 225.41 through 32 games.

8. ST. ANTHONY'S BOYS SWIMMING: After a week off, St. Anthony’s prepares for a showdown against five-time defending state champions Fordham Prep Tuesday at 5 p.m led by seniors Sean Cannon, Tyler Meyers and Noah Chernik.

9. HALF HOLLOW HILLS BOYS SWIMMING: Half Hollow Hills defeated Sachem, 98-83, Friday in a battle of unbeatens in Suffolk I. Alex Park, who has posted state qualifying times in five individual events and as a member of two relay teams, has been the team’s focal point.

10. LONG ISLAND LUTHERAN GIRLS BASKETBALL: The Crusaders were 1-1 this week: a 71-21 win against Murry Bergtraum (Manhattan) and a 42-27 loss to Rutgers Prep (N.J.). Sarah Mortensen had 23 points and seven rebounds against Murry Bergtraum.
