Vivian Mace scored the winning goal 52 seconds into the second overtime to lead North Babylon to a 10-9 win over Brentwood in Suffolk Division I girls lacrosse Monday. Mace had five goals and one assist and scored the tying goal with 1:13 left in the fourth quarter. Marley Vacarro added three goals and an assist and Cayla Hunte made 16 saves for North Babylon (1-5).

Mariela Argueta made 12 saves and Shaila Cortina had three goals for Brentwood (0-8).

Huntington 18, Sachem East 9: Sabrina Boyle scored five goals and Jolie Weinschreider added four goals and an assist to lead Huntington (7-1) in Suffolk I. Grace Gordon had two goals and four assists. Julia Voss had five goals and Ana Skillman made five saves for Sachem East (3-5).

Commack 13, Ward Melville 9: Aubrey Maurer had four goals and an assist and Olivia Bezmalinovic made 17 saves to lead Commack (7-0) in Suffolk I. Ava Simonton scored three goals for Ward Melville (4-3).

BOYS LACROSSE

Freeport 6, Malverne/East Rockaway 4: Mason Santos scored three goals and added an assist and Malik Groover saved 11 shots to lead Freeport (6-2) in Nassau III. Enrique Pineyro-Mendoza scored twice and Dawul Abdul-Ali added a goal. Anthony Pinto and Ethan Richard each had two assists. Brian Christodoulou made 14 saves for Malverne/East Rockaway (4-6).

SATURDAY’S GAMES

Chaminade 16, Darien 10: Quinn Ball won 21 of 25 faceoffs and Gavin Lynch had five goals and two assists to lead Chaminade (7-1) in non-league.

Lynbrook 14, Island Trees 8: Luca Palleschi made 19 saves to lead Lynbrook (8-1) in Nassau II. Luke Dantona had three goals and two assists, Bennett Votano scored three goals and Jack LaBarbera added a goal and four assists. Dominick Rich and Gerard Ritter each scored three goals for Island Trees (3-4).

BASEBALL

New Hyde Park 1, South Side 0: Jason Torres struck out nine in a complete-game two-hit shutout to lead New Hyde Park (5-6) in Nassau AA-II. Torres went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Stellan Zangari struck out seven in six innings for South Side (4-6).

Hampton Bays 6, Greenport 4: Cole Wilson struck out 12 and allowed no earned runs in a complete-game one-hitter to lead Hampton Bays (2-7) in Suffolk VIII. He also went 1-for-3 with an RBI and a stolen base. Nate Donahue went 2-for-2 with a double, two RBIs, two runs scored, a walk and a stolen base. Trey Scudder and Gabe DiFrancesco both went 1-for-2 with an RBI and a stolen base.

Bridgehampton/Ross 11, Southold 0: Kai Alversa struck out eight and walked two in a five-inning no-hitter to lead Bridgehampton/Ross (7-4) in Suffolk VIII. Tyler Fitzgerald went 3-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored.

SATURDAY’S GAME

Syosset 7, Calhoun 6: Justin Graff drove in Brandon Weber and Ethan Ramirez on a walk-off single to center to cap a four-run seventh for Syosset (6-3) in non-league. Ramirez drove in Jonathan Livingston and Tommy Martelli on a double earlier in the inning to cut the deficit to 6-5. Graff went 2-for-4 with three RBIs.

SOFTBALL

Connetquot 3, Bay Shore 2: Adyson Hartcorn went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored and Lauren Thomasson went 3-for-4 to lead Connetquot (5-2) in Suffolk II. Lyla Camacho struck out 10 over seven innings to earn the win.

Kings Park 5, Sayville 4: Hailey Roccisano, Courtney McKenna and Emma Lombardi each went 2-for-3 with a double to lead Kings Park (6-3) in Suffolk VI. Maddy Cooper went 2-for-4 with a triple and an RBI. Jordana Greeney pitched a complete game and struck out seven.

Riverhead 8, Central Islip 5: Mya Marelli struck out six in four hitless innings to lead Riverhead (6-3) in Suffolk I. Shaylee Bealey went 2-for-3 with two RBIs, two runs scored and a walk and Morgan Gajowski hit a two-run double. Stevey Duval went 2-for-4 with three RBIs and a run for Central Islip (5-4).

FLAG FOOTBALL

West Babylon 25, Wyandanch 12: Talia Acevedo went 16-for-25 with 129 yards and three touchdowns and rushed five times for 60 yards and a touchdown to lead West Babylon (3-6) in Suffolk II. Lili Ghabra totaled six receptions for 60 yards and two touchdowns. Alexus London had 10 flag pulls and a deflected pass. Grace Simaren had four sacks and six total flag pulls.

SATURDAY’S GAME

Sachem North 19, Copiague 18: Kylie DiMenna threw a tying 41-yard TD pass to Brooke Hetman and then completed the winning one-point conversion throw to Madison Spring with less than two minutes left to lead Sachem North (2-8) in Suffolk I. Jacalyn Zampieron and Reagan Groh each had two interceptions. Reagan Groh pulled 17 flags and caught a 7-yard TD. Chloe Allen-Jackson returned an interception 28 yards for a TD for Copiague (1-7).
