ALBANY — Unseeded Joe Gannone of Eastport-South Manor was pinned by top-seeded Aaron Wolk of Horace Greeley in 59 seconds in the state Division I wrestling final at 170 pounds on Saturday night at the Times Union Center.

Gannone earned a 5-2 decision over sixth-seeded Corey Connolly of Rocky Point to advance to the final.

On Friday, Gannone defeated No. 7 Devan Moore of Olean in the first round with a 6-1 decision, and then defeated No. 2 Matt Rogers of Wantagh, 8-5, in the quarterfinals.
