DiPietro not worried about return to Pittsburgh
Goalie Rick DiPietro, after another full practice since returning from a concussion and with the potential of getting his first action in Pittsburgh Thursday night, dismissed any notion that the game would have echoes of last February’s events there — when DiPietro challenged Penguins goalie Brent Johnson and ended up with a broken bone in his face.
It’s nothing to even think about, DiPietro said. “Absolutely not. It was last season. It was a loss. Move on. I got bigger things to worry about than that.”
Islanders’ coach Jack Capuano brought all three goalies on the trip and will announce his starter Thursday morning.
