The Islanders hired Chris Lamoriello as director of player personnel. Lamoriello, son of former Devils president and current Leafs general manager Lou Lamoriello, spent the past 21 years in the Devils organization, most recently as Senior VP of Operations and Albany Devils GM from 2001-2015.

Chris Lamoriello’s hiring adds to Garth Snow’s front office, which recently lost advisor George McPhee to the expansion Las Vegas franchise. No member of the Isles front office has left or is changing roles with Lamoriello’s addition.
