Even as Islanders fans look toward the 2014-15 playoffs, tickets are on sale -- and selling well -- for next season in preparation for the move to Brooklyn.
On Feb. 10 season tickets became available to the public on the Barclays Center website, complete with an interactive seating chart that lists per-game prices on a season subscription basis.
The options vary widely, up to $1,000 a game for the rows directly behind and adjacent to the team benches. But there are upper-level tickets that can be had for $35 per game, according to the seating chart.
(A limited number of $20-per-game packages were offered to current Islanders ticket holders, and sold out.)
Most upper-level seats are in the $35 to $55 range, with some toward the front of those sections at $65 or $75. In the center-ice area, Rows 6 to 15 cost $55 per game and Rows 16 to 20 are $45.
Some lower-bowl seats go for as little as $75. Non-premium tickets in the lower sections range up to $115.
Beyond that price, tickets are all-inclusive, with food, club access and other perks. Those premium tickets started at $150, but sold out at that level. Now they begin at $185.
The map lists some limited-view $65 seats in the corners of the end at which the Islanders attack for one period, but only a small part of the ice is blocked from there. Seats in areas with more limited views are not yet for sale.
The interactive site allows fans to view exactly which seats are available. Based on that, it appears many more seats have been sold than remain available in most sections.
