Jaromir Jagr a Flyer

This is really the first "wow" of the day, considering Jagr was bound for Pittsburgh, Detroit, Omsk, Montreal... And perhaps a few other places the last 48 hours.
Sportsnet's Nick Kypreos tweeted that the Flyers paid more than the $2-million the Penguins offered (and then rescinded). If so, that's pretty much insane; Peter Laviolette just rid his dressing room of a couple of problem children, and now one of the most mercurial guys in NHL history is joining up?
Strange times in Philly indeed. And you can bet the boos will be loud and long at the Garden for No. 68 for his three visits in.
