The nine-race card scheduled for Friday at Belmont at the Big A was canceled because of an ongoing maintenance issue at Aqueduct Racetrack,  the New York Racing Association said in a news release.

"Earlier today, Resorts World Casino treated the roof with a product that has created air quality issues on the building’s top floor which is occupied by live racing officials," NYRA wrote in its news release. "As a result, Friday’s card is canceled in its entirety.

The featured Listed $150,000 Glen Cove race, a six-furlong turf sprint for 3-year-olds, will be rescheduled.

Aqueduct will remain open for simulcasting on Friday, and horse bettors can wager online still at NYRABets.com.

Live racing at Aqueduct is expected to resume Saturday with an 11-race card featuring the Grade 2 $200,000 Sands Point in the fifth race and the $135,000 Floral Park in the seventh. First post is 12:10 p.m.
