Bob Costas will be part of Turner’s new Tuesday night Major League Baseball package, the network announced on Wednesday.

Brian Anderson is Turner’s lead baseball play-by-play man, but Costas, who grew up in Commack, will do some games as well, especially early in the season when Anderson is tied up with NBA duties.

Turner’s regular-season package had been on Sundays, but for 2022 it is moving to Tuesdays and will run for the entire season. The games are non-exclusive, meaning they also will be seen on local TV outlets of the teams involved.

“MLB on TBS Tuesday Night” will premiere on Tuesday with the Padres at the Giants and Costas and Ron Darling on the call. Darling and Jeff Francoeur are Turner’s game analysts.

Ernie Johnson or Lauren Shehadi will host studio coverage, with analysts Pedro Martinez, Jimmy Rollins and Curtis Granderson.

Atlanta will visit the Dodgers on April 19, with Costas and Francoeur working the game.
