Terry Bradshaw is biased, but honest
Fox executives don’t mind their studio analysts openly rooting for their former teams, as long as they still are capable of being critical.
Terry Bradshaw has walked that line when it comes to the Steelers.
On one hand, he admitted he has daydreamed about “how cool it would be’’ to present the Lombardi Trophy to the Rooney family on Super Bowl Sunday.
“Where is my heart?’’ he said. “You know where it is. It’s with the Steelers.’’
On the other hand, he insisted he is able to “say how I really feel no matter who is playing,’’ and has proven that, notably by sharply criticizing Ben Roethlisberger earlier this season.
“I got hammered, boy, I got hammered,’’ Bradshaw said, recalling Steelers fans saying, “’I can’t believe you did that. I thought you were a Steeler.’ My response was: It’s my job.’’
Bradshaw interviewed Roethlisberger Tuesday for the pregame show after the two had a one-on-one air-clearing session in a Cowboys Stadium locker room.
