Tim Tebow on cover of GQ

Tim Tebow is the No. 2 quarterback on the Jets, and he's now the second Jets quarterback in recent years to get his face on the cover of GQ Magazine leading into the NFL season.

The first, of course, was Mark Sanchez, who also happens to be the No. 1 quarterback for the Jets.

Inside the September 2012 issue -- on newsstands Aug. 21 -- GQ’s Devon Gordon "explores the worrisome effect that Tebowmania is bringing to his favorite team," a press release wrote.

Oh, and Tebow is indeed shirtless for at least one photo, keeping up a New York Jets tradition for quarterbacks -- and for Tebow. A Jets spokesperson said those photos were from his days at Florida. Tebow declined a photo shoot and interview with the magazine this year.

On the cover is a striking photo of Tebow.
