Since the end of last season, Tom Brady has retired from the NFL, unretired from the NFL and now secured a job for the next time he retires from the NFL.

Fox Sports announced on Tuesday that Brady would join the network as its lead NFL game analyst at the conclusion of his playing career.

Brady will join Kevin Burkhardt in Fox’s No. 1 booth and also serve as an “ambassador” for the network, Fox said, “particularly with respect to client and promotional initiatives.”

In making the announcement, Fox CEO Lachlan Murdoch said, “We are delighted that Tom has committed to joining the Fox team and wish him all the best during this upcoming season."

Speaking of which, Brady posted on Twitter, “Excited, but a lot of unfinished business on the field with the @Buccaneers.”

Brady, who turns 45 in August, announced his retirement as the Bucs’ quarterback in January, then changed his mind in March.

His decision to join Fox is the latest – and seemingly last – move in what has been a busy offseason in the NFL announcing ranks.

With Joe Buck and Troy Aikman leaving Fox to join ESPN, Fox turned to Burkhardt as Buck’s successor but had not yet named his analyst.

Greg Olsen is one option for the short term, but Brady could be in that role as early as 2023.

Fox has two of the next three Super Bowls, so if the Buccaneers make it there next February, Burkhardt will be calling a game starring his future partner.
