UFC Live on Versus 3, March 3, 2011 in Louisville, Ky.
After four pro fights in Ring of Combat, Weidman made his UFC debut on less than three weeks' notice. He outstruck and outworked the veteran striker Sakara to win by unanimous decision. Weidman won all three rounds.

Weidman won submission of the night honors for his finish via standing guillotine with six seconds left in the first round against Bongfeldt.

Weidman needed just 128 seconds to submit Lawlor via D'Arce choke.

CHRIS WEIDMAN VS. DEMIAN MAIA

Weidman took the fight on 11 days' notice and had to cut 32 pounds to make weight. He landed several takedowns on Maia, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu specialist, and controlled the fight for a unanimous decision. One judge scored it 30-27, and two scored it 29-28.

Weidman landed a perfectly timed right elbow to the head of an oncoming Munoz, who dropped to the mat immediately. Weidman, who headlined a card for the first time, followed with ground and pound to get the second-round TKO. Munoz only threw one punch in the first round.

CHRIS WEIDMAN VS. ANDERSON SILVA

Weidman did the unthinkable and not only defeated but knocked out Anderson Silva in the second round to win the middleweight title. It was Silva's first loss in nearly seven years and his first in the UFC.

Weidman defended his middleweight title for the first time with a second-round TKO after Silva broke his left leg in two places on a kick that Weidman checked.

CHRIS WEIDMAN VS. LYOTO MACHIDA

Weidman defended his middleweight title for the second time with a 49-45, 48-47, 49-46 unanimous decision over Machida.

CHRIS WEIDMAN VS. VITOR BELFORT

Weidman defended his middleweight title for the third time with a first-round TKO of Vitor Belfort. Weidman weathered an early flurry from Belfort, then got the double-leg takedown into half-guard and worked his ground-and-pound until the referee stopped the fight.

CHRIS WEIDMAN VS. LUKE ROCKHOLD
Chris Weidman suffered his first pro defeat, losing by TKO (punches) in the fourth round to Luke Rockhold at UFC 194 in Las Vegas.

CHRIS WEIDMAN VS. YOEL ROMERO
In the first UFC event at Madison Square Garden, Weidman won the first round and lost the second round against Romero. But in the third round, Weidman went for a takedown and made a technical error by putting his head on the wrong side. Romero connected with a flying knee to win the fight by TKO.

CHRIS WEIDMAN VS. GEGARD MOUSASI
In the second round, Weidman shot for a takedown that Mousasi stuffed, leaving the former champion's head susceptible to knees. What followed then was controversy. Mousasi connected on a pair of knees, then referee Dan Miragliotta deemed them illegal strikes and paused the fight. Replay was used to determine the strikes were legal. New York does not allow for video replay to review a call. A doctor then said Weidman was unfit to continue and stopped the match, giving Mousasi the win by TKO. Weidman has said he intends to file an appeal.

CHRIS WEIDMAN VS. KELVIN GASTELUM
Fighting at Nassau Coliseum, in front of people he went to elementary school with in Baldwin, Weidman rose to the occasion and defeated Gastelum in the main event of UFC Long Island, ending his three-fight losing streak and earning his first victory in 791 days. He submitted Gastelum via arm triangle choke at the 3:35 mark in the third round.
