If you had even a modicum of doubt about Nick Diaz's striking skills, he erased them all Saturday night.

The Strikeforce welterweight champion put on quite a show in knocking out Paul Daley with a few seconds left in the first round of their title bout in San Diego.

Diaz and Daley exchanged punches the entire fight, creating an exciting bout for fans to see.  Combined, the fighters threw 164 punches and connected on 90, with Diaz holding the 54-36 edge, according to CompuStrike.

The final set of punches came when Diaz softened Daley up with a left body shot then a right to the head. Daley stumbled forwarded and tred to grab onto Diaz and recover, but after two steps forward, he fell backwards. Diaz rushed in and finished off Daley as referee John McCarthy stopped the bout.

Here's the crazy part: Diaz was knocked down by Daley twice in the first round.
