It's always enjoyable, at least for me, to watch the counterprogramming maneuvers between MMA promotions. Smart business move by each company. Why not try to steal a little thunder from a competitor.

This time, UFC is countering Strikeforce's April 17 live card on CBS with a replay of UFC 110 from Australia on Spike.

Not sure what that says about Dana White's opinion of this Strikeforce card. Dan Henderson, the main attraction that night for Strikeforce, was never a huge pay-per-view draw for the UFC, or so they say.

UFC 110 wasn't exactly that riveting of a card to draw viewers away from live fights, especially with Cain Velasquez's short work of Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira. The Michael Bisping-Wanderlei Silva bout is worth watching again, but that's what DVRs and TiVos are for.

Other fights to be aired:

Joe Stevenson vs. George Sotiropoulos
Keith Jardine vs. Ryan Bader
Mirko Cro Cop vs. Anthony Perosh
Chris Lytle vs. Brian Foster

You'll fall asleep during the Mirko Cro Cop fight. I think Strikeforce might win this battle.
